Zero Point (Yumesamdong): Located about 50 km from Lachung, Zero Point is the last accessible civilian point near the Indo-China border. At an altitude of around 15,300 feet, it offers panoramic views of snow-covered mountains and a surreal, snow-filled landscape, especially during winter.

Lachung Monastery: Built in 1880, Lachung Monastery, also known as Lachen Gompa, is a spiritual center for the local Buddhist community. It’s situated on a hilltop offering a peaceful ambiance and stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Hot Springs near Yumthang Valley: Not far from Yumthang, you’ll find hot springs, which are believed to have therapeutic properties.

Seven Sisters Waterfall: On the way from Lachung to Gangtok, this waterfall is a beautiful sight, especially during the monsoon season. The water cascades down in seven stages, hence the name “Seven Sisters.”

Chopta Valley: Situated a little beyond Lachung, Chopta Valley is another beautiful, less-explored destination known for its scenic landscape of snow-capped mountains, meadows, and rivers.

Bhima Nala Waterfall: Also known as Amitabh Bachchan Falls due to its towering height, Bhima Nala Waterfall is located on the way to Yumthang Valley.

Phuni Ski Resort: Located near Lachung, Phuni is a popular skiing destination in North Sikkim. During the winter months (December-February), the area is covered with snow, making it ideal for skiing and snowboarding activities.

Mount Katao: Though not as famous as other spots, Mount Katao offers a majestic view of the surrounding Himalayan ranges. It’s around 30 km from Lachung and requires special permission to visit since it’s close to the army base.
