There are many tourist destinations in Koraput:
Maliguda- 21kms eastward of Jeypore and 43kms from koraput is a small village where on a hill top stands one of India's highest railway viaduct. This place is best for picnic.
Raisil- 60kms from Koraput stands on one stone hill with a perennial stream that attracts a large number of weekend tourists. This place is ideal for trekking surrounded by natural scenery. 'Anla Navami' is celebrated every year with huge gatherings.
Sabar Shrikshetra- The biggest temple of the district constructed in 19th century. This temple is the main attraction for koraput town. The famous rath yatra is also celebrated in a grand way. To reach the temple one has to overcome more than 100 steps. The height of the temple rises to about 50ft and has four chamber complex with deula,jagmohan,nata mandapa and bhoga mandapa. A tribal museum is situated near the temple site
Gupteshwar- 80km away from koraput amidst deep forests. The cave enshrines a huge lingam and is multi chambered wonder, also popularly known as Gupta Kendra Shabari. The heavily wooded valley all around is a heaven for adventure and photography lovers.
Deomali- highest mountain peak of Odisha 1762m in the lap of eastern ghats is ideal for aero gliding and trekking expeditions. It is 60km from Koraput.
