How to Reach Rinchenpong:
By Air: the nearest airport is Bagdogra (IXB), and it's about 132 kilometres by road from Bagdogra to Rinchenpong. From Bagdogra, take Sevoke Road, and after reaching Melli, take a left to reach Jorethang. From Jorethang, you can reach Rinchenpong in two different ways. The first one is via Chakung, Soreng, Sribadam, and Kaluk, and the second one is via Nayabazar, Mabong, and Takuthang.
By train: the nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP), which is about 126 kilometres by road from NJP. From NJP, take Sevoke Road and after reaching Melli, take a left to reach Jorethang. From Jorethang, you can reach Rinchenpong in two different ways. The first one is via Chakung, Soreng, Sribadam, and Kaluk, and the second one is via Nayabazar, Mabong, and Takuthang.
By Road: If you're coming from Pelling, it's about 50 kilometres by road to reach Rinchenpong, and the road is via Sardong, Dentam, Barnyak, and Kaluk. If you're coming from Gangtok to Rinchenpong, there are three different roads available to reach. The first one is via Melli and then as same as from NJP or Bagdogra (mentioned above). The second one is via Namchi, Jorethang, Nayabazar, Mabong, and Takuthang, and the last one is via Singtam, Pabong, Ravangla, Legship, and Takuthang. From Darjeeling to Rinchenpong, the road is via Tukvar Tea Garden, Jorethang, Nayabazar, Chakung, Soreng, Sribadam, and Kaluk.
Sighseeing Rinchenpong
Pelling: Pelling is one of the most popular and crowded cities in West Sikkim. The Pemayangtse Monastery, Khecheopalri Lake, Rabdantse Ruins, Rimbi Waterfall, Khanchendzonga Fall, and Darap Village are the main sightseeing points to visit in Pelling. You can plan an excursion trip to Pelling from Rinchenpong to visit these famous points. From Pelling, Rinchenpong is about 50 kilometres by road.
Ravangla: Ravangla is a popular tourist destination in South Sikkim near Kaluk. Buddha Park, Samdruptse Hill, and Ralong Monastery are the most popular visit points to be covered. It is about 60 kilometres by road from Kaluk to Ravangla.
