Pelling is also the base of several trekking routes around West Sikkim.

So the weather is soothing here in the Summer time and most of the tourists like to visit this place in Summer. Pelling Sightseeing Places
- Khecheopalri Lake : Khecheopalri Lake is situated about 34 kilometers from Pelling town near Khecheopalri village. It is also locally known as Wish fulfilling lake. This is also a part of Buddhist Pilgrimage Center. An interesting features of the lake is that the birds of the surrounding trees do not allow a single leaf to float on the surface of lake, always they pick up that as soon as the leaves drop.
- Darap Village : Darap Village is a pristine village, only 8 kilometers from Pelling on the way to Yuksom and Khecheopalri Lake. Limboos community is the main dwellers of this hamlet. They have preserved their cultures and traditions over years and this is the main attraction of this place.
- Rimbi waterfall : Rimbi Waterfall is about 5 kilometers from Darap Village on the way to Yuksom and Khecheopalri Lake. This waterfall has been formed over Rimbi river with a lush green scenery all around.
- Kanchenjunga Waterfall : Kanchenjunga Waterfall is about 18 kilometers from Rimbi Waterfall on the way to Yuksom. It is one of the largest and milky Waterfall in West Sikkim that you can enjoy with your friends and family. The water of the fall is coming from directly the melting glacier of Mt. Khanchendzonga, the third highest peak of the World. After getting down from vehicle, you have to go up 2 minutes to visit the actual fall and that is chargable.
- Yuksom : Yuksom is a historical place just 41 kilometers by road from Pelling. Yuksom,the first capital of Sikkim established by Phuntsog Namgyal, the first Chogyal of Sikkim. Dubdi Monastery, the Bhuddhist religious Pilgrimage Center, was also built up by Namgyal.
- Pemayangtse Monastery : Pemayangtse Monastety , one of the premere and ancient Buddhist monastery, located in Pemayangtse , only 9 kilometers by road from Pelling. The monastery was founded by Lama Latsun Chempo in the year 1647.
- Rabdentse Ruins : Rabdentse was the second capital of Sikkim from the year 1670 to 1814. This place was destroyed by invading Gorkha army. Now you can see the ruins of Palace and Chorten at that place. From Where the vehicle will drop, you have to trek upwards near about 2 kilometers through a small road within forest to reach the place.
- Changey Waterfalll, Sikkim : Changey Water Falls is about 16 kilometers from Pelling towards the way of Singshore Bridge.
- Singshore Bridge : Singshore bridge is near about 35 kilometers by road from Pelling. This Bridge is claimed to be 2nd highest Hanging Bridge in Asia. This will be a thrilling experience when you will stand on it and look over to catch the glimpse of the mountains all around.
How to reach Pelling
Nearest Airport : Bagdogra airport (IXB). It is about 140 kilometers by road from Bagdogra to Pelling.
You can directly hire a private car to reach Pelling from Bagdogra. Or You can hire a car from Bagdogra to SNT (Sikkim Nationalized Transport) Bus Stand. There is only one bus service from SNT to Pelling directly per day. A frequent number of buses are available from SNT to Geyzing everyday. From Geyzing, you can take a shared Jeep or hire a private vehicle to reach Pelling from Geyzing. From Geyzing to Pelling, it is about 10 kilometers by road.
Nearest Railway Station : New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP). It is about 135 kilometers by road from NJP to Pelling.
You can directly hire a private car to reach Pelling from NJP. Or You can hire a car from NJP to SNT (Sikkim Nationalized Transport) Bus Stand. There is frequent auto rickshaw available to SNT from NJP as the distance is only 6 kilometers. There is only one bus service from SNT to Pelling directly per day. A frequent number of buses are available from SNT to Geyzing everyday. From Geyzing, you can take a shared Jeep or hire a private vehicle to reach Pelling from Geyzing. From Geyzing to Pelling, it is about 10 kilometers by road.

Shared Jeep also can be hired from Pelling Jeep Stand of Gangtok near Hungry Jack Hotel.
You can get Government bus from Gangtok to Geyzing. After reaching Geyzing, you can hire any private vehicle or shared jeep from Geyzing to Pelling.
